A standardized codification of German employment law does not exist. The legal situation is defined by an interlacing of European, national constitutional and statutory law, as well as judiciary law. The legislative process is characterized by constant and often hectic change. In addition to this, there are collective bargaining agreements and arrangements between company partners (employer and works council). According to a thesis put forth by Prof. Dr. Hanau, employment law knowledge has a half-life of only five years.

Modern employment law has become a significant economic control factor, whose importance cannot be overestimated. Consequently, there is great demand for qualified employment law advice and representation. This advice requires highly qualified and experienced specialists.
